Impact Communications Group is marking a new chapter this month, after having been purchased by a private investor in March.
A full service marketing and communications agency for clients in Atlantic Canada and across the country, Impact is welcoming Sammy Davis as CEO and Jamie Morrison as COO. Additional staff members have been hired to join the existing employees in the design, interactive and business and marketing strategy.
Founder, Bruce Thompson, has announced he will leave the company at the end of April after 16 years as CEO.
Thompson is a major stakeholder in the international wind turbine manufacturer Seaforth Energy Inc. He said he had contemplated a departure from the agency world for some time, and will now focus on developing sustainable energy projects in Nova Scotia and abroad. “This is a very exciting time for Impact,” said Thompson. “Although I am leaving, I’m doing so with a high level of comfort in the knowledge that the company will continue to evolve through dynamic new leadership.”
“Our vision is to grow the company and maintain a commitment to doing good things.” Davis said that process is well underway.
“Impact Communications is a strong and respected brand in Atlantic Canada, and we are building on what Bruce and the staff of Impact have created here,” he said. “In the last two weeks, we’ve nearly doubled the staff and are creating bold, memorable campaigns and groundbreaking strategies for our new and existing clients.”
